The Singleton Forgotten Drop Series is a highly sought after collection of natural cask strength releases of our rarest and most precious stocks. Discovered hidden in our cask reserves, these outstanding, aged liquids have been crafted by Malt Master Maureen Robinson into a series of exceptional and rare whiskies.
The Singleton Glen Ord 43 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky is the oldest release in the distillery’s history and the third offering in The Forgotten Drop Series. Malt Master, Maureen Robinson, has bought a new dimension to the Glen Ord house style by taking a delicately balanced 43 year old liquid and finishing it for four months in two hand-selected Muscat-treated American Oak firkin casks before being bottled at natural cask strength (48.4% ABV). These final few months of maturation bring out sweet, aromatic oak flavours that accentuate the depth, distillery character and complexity of this exceptional whisky.
Released in a limited edition of 600 individually numbered bottles.

Tasting Notes
APPEARANCE
Full, clear gold.
NOSE
Gentle nose feel, from a mild nose with immediate, rich, fruity aromas. A sweet fresh fruit salad, with white grapes, melon, orange segments, cherries, pineapple and apple, all on a base of candle-wax and sandalwood. A drop of water introduces a fleeting floral note and subdues the fruitiness to favour a sweet suggestion of Scottish tablet toffee.
PALATE
At natural strength the texture is very smooth; lightly waxy (teeth-coating) and even creamy in feel. The taste starts sweet, with bright, white grapey notes, then becomes and stays spicy. Chewy on the palate, with a peppery warmth. Becomes lightly drying.
FINISH
Long, warming and sweetly drying. With water it finishes sweeter; though it’s still warming, the spiciness is also reduced. Pale melon, now sprinkled with grated ginger.
