The Talisker Bodega Series is an exploration of Talisker’s more than a century-old relationship with the Spanish Sherry region and the prestigious Sherry producer Delgado Zuleta. The Series uses only the oldest and most precious liquids from the depths of Talisker’s stocks and the most special Sherry casks from Delgado Zuleta to produce unique and powerful cask strength Talisker single malts. The Bodega Series is where the wild of Skye meets the warmth of Spain - representing a journey across the sea from Cadiz to Skye.
The Talisker Bodega 41 Year Old was distilled in 1978 and bottled in 2019, making it the oldest whisky ever released from the Isle of Skye, from the oldest distillery on the Isle of Skye. The 41 Year Old whisky, made by the sea in Scotland, has been expertly finished in Manzanilla Sherry casks from Delgado Zuleta. Bottled at cask strength of 50.7% ABV to allow the drinker to experience the whisky in its purest, most powerful form.
The wonderful symmetry between Talisker and Delgado Zuleta with their coastal locations is further accentuated by this expression using the Manzanilla casks. Manzanilla Sherry is from the coastal town of Sanclur de Barrameda, which forms one of the three corners of the Sherry Triangle, and is defined by the coast and its salty brine flavours in the same way that Talisker is, forming a unique and powerful flavour combination.
Radiant golden amber. Exquisite beading
An abundance of fruit; sultanas, melon, lime with a hint of ginger ale followed by honey and beeswax then by white chocolate.
A smooth texture and a sweet, salty then smoky taste.
Complex, spicy, focused and balanced. Effortlessly controlled throughout.
